Live televised debate?

Earlier, the online papers and blogs were full of Mandelgit's "Satan's Spawn" suggestion that a live debate between the Gorgon and Cameron was on the cards.

"I don't think Gordon would have a problem with that," said Mandelgit

Whoops!

Wednesday, 8 July 2009

Huh!

I was just skimming the papers (as you do)... and the Daily Express is running some headlines on the G8 summit in Italy.

Headline 1

Oh Dear

"The G8 countries meeting in Italy have failed to agree a deal with developing nations over the goal of halving carbon emissions by 2050. Negotiators were trying instead to achieve the more modest target of keeping the world's average temperature from rising more than 2C, sources said.

Climate change experts say the two-degree threshold, which has been embraced by the European Union and some developing countries, would not eliminate the risk of runaway climate change but would minimise it".

Headline 2

Ummmm

"Prime Minister Gordon Brown has hailed an "historic" emissions agreement at the summit of G8 nations in Italy.
The accord between the world's major industrialised nations states they will not allow global temperatures to rise by more than 2C and will cut their emissions of greenhouse gases by 80% by 2050.

Mr Brown said the deal paved the way for a global agreement at the UN conference in Copenhagen this December to halve emissions by the middle of the century".

So, was this a successful summit or not?

Seems like they "settled" to me!

How can he hail it's a success, when it obviously WAS NOT!

I'm f*cked if I know whats going on!

I think Gordon suffers from "Pollyanna Syndrome" Ref : The Inflated Self

LIES, LIES, LIES, LIES!!!!!

H/T Steve, Daily Referendum!

(I'm off for a week, going to a wedding on a Spanish Island)...

Brown Insults Poland's President.

Quite honestly, Brown should really keep his mouth shut! The Labour Party with it's spin, lies and expenses scandals is hardly whiter than white.

Mr Brown, the delusional righteous idiot! Hardly the diplomat!

You can tell the Conservatives leaving the EPP has really got up his nose. He's really miffed about it, it must be a good thing then and will certainly take power away from the centre of LEFT EPP. They can call themselves Centre of Right, but we all know the truth, they're totalitarian and dictatorial which makes them "far left" as far as I am concerned, practically Communists!

I believe that more will leave the EPP too, everyone is sick and tired of the EU becoming a "Big Brother Monster", everyone wants some democracy back in Brussels!

Commons Motion to Dissolve Parliament Defeated!

WTF!!!

What is the matter with everyone? It's the troughing politicos.... they're scared they may have to get proper jobs!

I'm so angry. It's WE THE PEOPLE, the ELECTORATE THAT WANT AN ELECTION!!!

8 Opposition Day: Leader of the Scottish National Party and Leader of Plaid Cymru (Un-allotted half-day (Standing Order No. 14))

Dissolution of Parliament

Motion made and Question proposed, That this House requests the Prime Minister to seek a dissolution of the present Parliament.—(Angus Robertson.)

Stewart Hosie claimed to move the closure (Standing Order No. 36).

Question put, That the Question be now put.

Question agreed to.

Question accordingly put.

The House divided.

Division No. 146.

Ayes: 268 (Tellers: Pete Wishart, Adam Price).
Noes: 340 (Tellers: Mark Tami, Ms Dawn Butler).
Question accordingly negatived.

Now it seems to me that because this Labour Government does not ACTUALLY have a majority any longer that this vote is not representative of the people but purely of the Labour Party!!!

Its a sham, a con and I'm livid!

Why is Labour being slaughtered?

Listening to Skynews and reading the online papers, one would think that the only issue affecting the lack of Labour votes is the expenses scandal.

Today in The London Evening Standard

A teacher claims he was removed from a bus by police after he stubbed a cigarette out on the pavement.

Stephen Cook, 49, from Finsbury Park, was outside Archway Tube station when he threw his cigarette on to the pavement. He said five wardens appeared to issue him with a £50 fine. Mr Cook, who said there were no ashtrays outside the station, refused to accept it and walked away to catch a bus.

He said Islington wardens called the police and minutes later they arrived with sirens sounding to tell him to get off the bus and accept the fine.

The law against stubbing out cigarettes on the street was introduced with the smoking ban in 2007.

Police have launched a full-scale murder investigation over the mystery death of a dog.

Forensics teams have been drafted in and the swimming pool where the terrier was found dead is being treated as a murder scene.

An officer justified the unusual move by arguing that the impact of the death was 'the same on the family as if it had been a person

Health chiefs have slammed discount chain Poundland for selling a potentially deadly dose of 48 paracetamol for just £1.

The discount High Street chain came under fire from the Royal Pharmaceutical Society - which today said it was 'extremely concerned' at the deal.

Let me tell The Labour Party, they're mistaken. It's for a myriad of inconcievably stupid Big Brother Databases, totally anal H & S regulation and Politically Correct bollocks that's at the heart of your monumental failure!

The expenses scandal was the straw that broke the camels back. Taxpayers really resent being ripped off by people who want to make their lives a misery!

Now, call an election! Have you any dignity left?

FFS!!!

We know where Gordon has been!

Iain Martin's blog on Saturday posed a curious question. "Are we absolutely sure that Gordon Brown is still Alive?"

"Gordon Brown is nowhere to be seen. Perhaps he is very busy. It is said by his aides that he is writing letters direct to aggrieved voters - but there are so many of them that that would surely take years. In a public spirited fashion, I have asked fellow Britons if they have seen Brown in the last week and, frankly, they struggle. Said one friend: "Wasn't he pictured kissing a baby or something at nursery? I have a vague recollection he was." But how can we be sure that the footage was new and not months old? The Soviets went in for that kind of fakery all the time.

Indeed, in foreign tin-pot dictatorships it is a familiar pattern: dictator retreats to bunker, refuses to be seen in public, rumours circulate and aides eventually have to produce some footage purported to show the father of the nation in good spirits.

I think the answer in this case is for Brown to appear on television holding up a copy of today's Telegraph. That way he can prove conclusively he is still at the helm"

I'm Disgusted!

I'm so furious, I could go and punch Jacqui Smith in the mouth.

Gordon Brown said there will be no D-Day remembrance service at Westminster Abbey to pay tribute to those 17,566 British Troops who lost their lives at the Normandy Invasion.

Dame Vera Lynn said “It is very disappointing for the veterans. I can’t understand it. The service is the only opportunity that the veterans have to share what their comrades went through and to think about those who were not able to come back. Many of them can’t manage to get to Normandy so this would have been a very important event to them. The lack of a commemoration service at the Abbey would make the veterans think that they are not important enough. She said: “It is very sad and a real shame. I think they will feel very let down and it is also very sad for the families of those who did not come home from Normandy.”

He will be attending the event in Normandy in which I believe our Queen was not actually invited!

But then again, no one could accuse Brown of being a loyal servant to the British Crown or public, he's just a self serving socialist suckup to Europe c*nt.

Fiddled consultation at Charlotte Turner School Greenwich

Remember this 2 days ago? Parent Power, Gimme a Break!

There was a protest nearby at a local school when Gordon delivered his Parent Power Speech

"The Prime Minister was visiting a Lewisham school to announce plans to give parents more power over their children's education after a weekend of speculation over his leadership.
But the secondary school in question is embroiled in a battle with parents who are furious at being “ignored” over plans to merge it with a nearby primary"

Now, parents at Charlotte Turner School, Benbow Street, Greenwich, SE8 3DH, have occupied their school to oppose its planned closure in September by the council. They released this statement this evening;

“Following a false consultation parents at Charlotte Turner have occupied their school. We have protested outside the town hall, put questions at a cabinet and council meeting but we were fobbed off. 297 parents replied to a consultation on the council’s plan. 296 were against and only 1 parent in agreement. Yet the council have decided  to listen to the 1 not the 296 and plan to close the school in September".

We demand the council reverse this decision.

Surprise, surprise.. the MP for Greenwich is a LABOUR MP.

Nick Raynsford - Are you listening to parents Mr Raysford?

Browns "Parent Power" is an illusion. It's a ruse to get you to shut up and concentrate on him pretending to "do the right thing". The trouble is, Labour actually NEVER do the right thing, which is LISTEN to parents.

Labour are NOT listening to parents, they're absolutely IGNORING THEM. Parents from TWO schools in London are not happy with your "PARENT POWER".

How dare Gordon Brown lecture us on pride in Britain!

Just came across this "piece" by Jane Moore in The Sun. She's as pissed off as the rest of us :)

"SUSPEND disbelief if you will, but Prime Minister Gordon Brown has written an essay on what it means to be British.Yes, the man whose fingers have been slowly squeezing the throat of our national identity for years is suddenly celebrating the virtues of Britishness, most notably our tolerance".

Publication of MPs’ receipts in July!

All the Sunday papers are running "Brown's Temper" stories this weekend. The Sunday Mail is covering the outburst by our Führer at David Cameron concerning the MP's expenses fiasco.

"Angry Gordon Brown shouted a ‘take it or leave it’ ultimatum at David Cameron over MPs’ expenses during an extraordinarily bad-tempered meeting between the party leaders last week.

The Prime Minister repeatedly waved his fist and stormed: ‘We have to get this sorted! We have to get this sorted!’

And sources have told The Mail on Sunday Mr Brown appeared to blame Mr Cameron for the need to act now to restore the public’s faith in MPs’ expenses".

At one point he even blamed David Cameron for the whole affair by saying "If you didn’t keep raising this at Prime Minister’s Questions, we wouldn’t be in this situation".

I was under the impression that it was the public that wanted to know after the MSM and excellent organisations like the TPA brought these things up, hey ho.. his hatred for Cameron is absolute, he'd like to blame the Tories for everything that he is responsible for messing up in the last 11 years no doubt.

Meanwhile there are reports of ‘panic’ in the Government whips’ office over the impending publication of MPs’ receipts in July. It is rumoured that ‘horror stories’ will be revealed, including wild expenses claims for helicopter journeys and holiday homes abroad.

So, how about some guesses as to the extent of this abuse? Apart from Mr Jacqui Smith and his pornos, who do we think has squandered vast amounts of tax payers money and on what?

We will see in July who has predicted the most outrageous of the snouts in the trough expenses and watch the shit hit the fan :)

Government of the Living Dead

This whole budget is based on a lie. Vince Cable just described it as "Utter fantasy". Vince Cable is correct.

"They plan to borrow more in two years than all previous governments combined have borrowed in 1000 years. That is going to be painful to repay" - John Redwood

Start thinking Soldier - Doom in Afghanistan

Gordon Brown must be finding it increasingly difficult to keep his promises, especially when it comes to delivering another 1,500 extra troops to Afghanistan this summer to please Obama. Unemployment of 18 -24 year olds stands at around 600,000, by far the biggest age group without gainful employment.

Despite already spending nearly 400 million on adverts and spin during the last year "Gov" has now invested in its most adventurous campaign for Army Recruitment. The first of the adverts was carefully placed on Channel 4 tonight while Hollyoaks was being aired but this is no ordinary campaign.

After Populus had done its usual research to find out what it is our young men and women want out of their work, they came to this conclusion: "42% stated lack of skills and educational qualifications as the barrier to their desired career path and the bast majority of 17-21 year old are aware that they have more to learn about their personal skills and weaknesses."

This campaign targets that age group by challenging them in a Counterstrike or Doom type game online.

The "Start Thinking Soldier Campaign" launches with the first in a series of four TV commercials that will roll out
consecutively over a four month period: each unlocking a corresponding online mission.  Each commercial brings to life one of four key areas of Army expertise including teamwork, decision making, leadership and fitness & mental sharpness. At the end of each film, the viewer is presented with a decision making dilemma and is asked to decide “What would you do?” from a choice of three options.   The first mission features an explosives factory in the desert.  As the viewer approaches the  factory they are given the options: to burst in through the doors, to carry out an air strike or to blow a hole in the wall.  Each commercial concludes with a voice-over stating “Show us your Army skills….Start Thinking Soldier. Online.” Once online, you make your choice and are given immediate feedback on your decision. You then go on to take part in a whole range of online challenges that test a variety of skills including observation, problem solving, intelligence, memory, navigation, and awareness - all resulting in detailed feedback on your own performance and natural skills and weaknesses.

I tried to register, but it was broken, duh!

I think getting kids to join the army by conning them into thinking its going to be like Doom or Counterstrike is pretty damn sick. I can just picture the "quango/working group" thinking that kids this age group are all going to be at home playing war games on the computer while they don't have a job.. it makes me shudder!

I wonder how much this one has cost the taxpayer? I can't help thinking the money should have be spent on equipment or aftercare for those who return damaged for life.

I seem to remember the EU having a bee in their bonnet about these sorts of games in the past.......funny how attitudes change when you expect young people to risk their lives "for their country".
