"GREEDY MPs were last night on course for a massive pay hike in return for accepting strict curbs on expenses.

Many were pressing for a rise of up to £40,000 a year to take their annual salaries to around £100,000 after details of a crackdown on the discredited Parliamentary allowance system were unveiled.

And Westminster sleaze watchdog Sir Christopher Kelly – who yesterday published his blueprint for stamping out “deplorable” expenses abuses – signalled that his overhaul cleared the way for a salary increase".

If you need anything to convince yourself that the current "huddle" of politicians are the most corrupt in recent history, this is it!

After selling the electorate down the river into the gaping, tax purloining, hole that is the EU, they want a rise for doing it! Surely, we don't even need MP's now? They've managed to put themselves out of a job. They no longer represent the electorate. They have taken away our democratic right to choose.

As Norton Folgate says here. Mr Woolas has suggested that our troops are in Afghanistan to stop them coming to the UK as asylum seekers.

Of course, Mr Woolas said something which caused complete uproar. "His ill-timed comments add to the growing confusion over the reasons for Britain's ongoing presence in the war-torn country.

The government has previously insisted British troops are fighting to stop terror attacks in the UK".

Yes, we've all heard that baloney. It was the next bit that that really threw me...

"And ministers have also claimed British troops are there to train local police and help Afghans build a democracy".
