Meh!

I imagine that's what the majority of the country will be thinking when they tune into this evening's six o'clock news and hear that Martin Schulz has replaced Jerzy Buzek as El Presidente of the European Parliament.

Schulz is a nasty piece of work, often to be seen laughing and smirking as others speak in the EP in his role as leader of the Socialists*; he's a German replacing a Pole; he's also a bully, an arch-federalist and a shoo-in.

In 2008 he was famously compared to the Commandant of a Nazi Concentration Camp by Berlusconi and in 2010 Godfrey Bloom, a UKIP MEP, was ejected from the Chamber for calling out "Ein Volk, ein Reich, ein Fuhrer" during a Schulz speech. Compared to Schulz, Buzek was a pussy-cat.

* Full title is the Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists & Democrats - the authoritarian bastards.

Here's what Nigel Farage had to say about him earlier today (and please, do click through to the other videos that pop up in the captions - you can never know too much about your enemy):

"Anti-British to his fingertips"

With thanks to Captain Ranty for the Farage video

Jolly old chap isn't he? I imagine that he'd be in demand as Santa Claus at children's parties in another life - if it weren't for his black, Spinelli heart.

UPDATE: I wouldn't normally reference Wikipedia but in this instance I am because it's interesting to see the lack of background information available on Schulz compared to other politicians.

UKIP - The Local Manifesto!

Democracy first. We, the people, shall rule

We will –

Empower local people by giving you the right to call binding referenda on local issues
Let you, the people, decide major planning schemes like supermarkets by referendum
Grant no right of appeal from the people’s decisions on planning schemes
Introduce election for county health, education and police boards
Expect your councillors to put the people’s needs first, ahead of party dogmas
Make councils, schools, police, hospitals, planning and social care put local people first
Keep central government out of local government, abolish regional government
Restore our ancient county, borough and parish councils
Let councils control their own finances by keeping half of local business rates
Replace VAT with a Local Sales Tax, with a proportion going direct to councils

Council services: No front-line cuts

To maintain and improve front-line council services, we will –

Halt all cuts to front-line council services
Keep police on the beat to protect the people from anti-social behaviour
Improve health care for the elderly
Develop youth services
Maintain the roads properly
Give rates relief to local businesses
Increase provision of free parking
Invest in high-quality state education
Preserve our public libraries
Improve public transport
Energise the voluntary sector
Devolve budgets, not burdens
End aspirational waffle about local communities. The Big Society is a big mistake

Protecting local people from crime

To keep the people and the streets safe, we will –

Oppose votes for prisoners
Halt the scrapping of police jobs
Refuse to tolerate any antisocial behaviour or petty crime
Build more prisons
Make sentences mean what they say
Elect county police boards to let local people set police priorities
Cut police form-filling and free officers for real  police work
Crack down on nuisance neighbours

Immigration: Britain for the British first

To cut immigration and the heavy cost of immigration, we will –

End Labour’s immigration free-for-all, which let in three million in 13 years
Withhold all State benefits from immigrants for five years
Introduce proper border controls Increase UK Border Agency staff as needed
Freeze permanent immigration for five years until we sort out the system
Deport all illegal immigrants
Target working visas only on those with the skills we need

Planning for our green and pleasant land

To put the people in charge of the decisions that affect our countryside, we will –

Put people’s wishes above central government and big business with planning referenda
Ban new windfarms and subject existing ones to democratic local planning procedures
Protect with new Conservators
Annul the Localism Bill’s right to build on green belt
Direct new housing and business developments to brown-field, not green-field, sites
Build new nuclear and clean-coal power plants to secure our energy supply
Use existing houses more efficiently by encouraging rentals

Health: Sorting out the National Health Service

To keep the health service safe and protect our elderly and disabled people, we will –

Let the people elect county health boards to oversee vital services
Halt all cuts in front-line NHS doctors, surgeons, dentists and nurses
Axe failing, surplus NHS management Reintroduce proper matrons to run clean hospitals
Make specialist care available as needed, to save lives now lost through delay
Cut waiting lists to European levels – Poland treats cancer patients faster than we do

Education: Put pupils and parents first

To bring Britain’s education up to international standards, we will –

Let the people elect county education boards to make our schools better
Scrap useless paperwork and trust teachers to do their jobs
Build more Grammar Schools
Insist that schools teach the 3 Rs
Close colleges using bogus courses as a back door into Britain for foreign students
Reinstate the student grant and educational maintenance allowance
Encourage vocational apprenticeships
Give parents the right to choose where their children go to school
Protect rural schools
Encourage home schooling

Housing: Local British people first

To address the housing shortage caused by three million immigrants in 13 years, we will –

Restore proper controls on immigration to ease the demand for housing
Incentivise re-use of 970,000 empty houses, equal to eight years’ English house-building

Transport: Keeping our communities on the move

To keep Britain moving, we will –

Let the people decide on local transport infrastructure by calling binding referenda
Reopen local railway lines where needed
Preserve wayleaves of disused railway lines in case they are needed again
Halt widespread over-zealousness in parking enforcement
Remove all speed cameras, except those proven to reduce accidents or demanded by the community
Provide free parking at all hospitals
Protect free parking for Blue Badge holders
Protect rural bus services

BUT, whatever we, the people, want or decide...

UKIP would like to point out that unelected EU
bureaucrats set overall policy in –

Foreign affairs l Economic affairs
Public health l Transport
Justice l Energy
Employment l Environment
Police l Farming
Social affairs l Fisheries
Immigration l Law enforcement

And they won’t stop there. That is why we want
our national and our local democracy back.

If you want it too, vote UKIP with pride.

Labour's Mass Immigration Scandal

I know many people are covering this in the media and blogs but I feel so strongly that we Britons have been wronged that I have to add to the chorus.

The very, very worse thing of all is, that it hasn't stopped. We are still advocating an open door policy, despite the Progressive Conservatives rhetoric.

Only 1 out of every 5 illegal immigrants are removed from the country.

We still have millions of unemployed Britons, our NHS is still stretched, mainly because it was not designed to service so many people that haven't or don't pay into the system. Our children have suffered and are still suffering because our schools are oversubscribed. The social housing shortage is worse because for years immigrants have been given priority. The benefits bill is out of control as so many immigrants are either unemployable or don't want to work and have worked out how to fiddle the system. Many of our cities have been completely invaded (including the East End of London where my roots lie).

The people that have been imported to bolster Labour's votes, thank us by segregating themselves, demanding ridiculous rights and privileges and by denigrating our traditions and customs and even insulting our soldiers.

In the coming months, we will be forced by the EU to allow thousands of "new member states" citizens and refugees from the pre-democratic states of the middle east and africa to literally pour into our already struggling country.

CAMERON CANNOT AND WILL NOT STOP IT.

YOU CAN, BUT IT WILL TAKE A REVOLUTION, IT WILL REQUIRE YOU TO SNAP OUT OF YOUR APATHY AND USE YOUR VOICES AND VOTES.

The only political party that can stop this is UKIP. FROM THE MANIFESTO which you can see here and download from here (PDF).

3 IMMIGRATION & ASYLUM

End uncontrolled mass immigration

Introduce an immediate five-year freeze on immigration for permanent settlement

Regain control of Britain’s borders to stop foreign criminals from entering our country

End abuse of the UK asylum system and expel Islamic extremists

Introduce a strict new points-based visa system and time-limited work permits

Triple the number of UK Borders Agency staff engaged in controlling immigration (to 30,000).

We are still being told that we if we mention the subject we are either racists or extreme right wing.

So, I say to you all righteous, left wing, socialists.

FUCK YOU!
THE PISS HAS AND STILL IS BEING ROYALLY TAKEN OUT OF US!

From the report :

Net immigration quadrupled under Labour, bringing three million immigrants to Britain (three times the population of Birmingham) while one million British citizens emigrated. In addition there are illegal immigrants who could number almost one million.

The economic benefit, in terms of GDP per head, was very small – whether positive or negative. 75% of the extra jobs created since 1997 went to foreign born workers.

92% of immigrants went to England which joined Holland as the most crowded country in Europe.

The number of people in work, aged 16 and over increased by 2.29 million between Q4 1997 and Q4 2009
but 1.7m of the increase, or nearly 75%, was accounted for by the foreign born

The government also claimed that immigration was needed to fill 600,000 vacancies. This was false; it was a version of the well known “lump of labour” fallacy which asserts that there are a fixed number of jobs in an
economy.

THE EU IS NOW SAYING THE SAME THING EVEN THOUGH EUROPE'S UNEMPLOYMENT IS OUT OF CONTROL. THEY HAVE THE SAME POLICY AS LABOUR HAD, THEY ARE IMPORTING THEIR FUTURE VOTERS IN.

The waiting lists for social housing in England rose by 70%. Looking ahead, 36% of projected new households will be due to immigration; that will require building about 330 new homes every working day for the next 23 years.

Half a million children will be added to primary school rolls by 2015; a similar number will not have English as their mother tongue.

The proportion of children born to foreign born mothers almost doubled to 25%. One academic projection suggests that, if present levels of immigration continue, the “white British” are likely to be in a minority in the UK in the late 2060s.

The Points Based System has increased, not reduced, immigration.

62% of the public consider that allowing immigration to rise to unacceptable levels was Mr Blair’s greatest failure as Prime Minister. His memoirs claim that his strategy on immigration of “confess and avoid” won out at the 2005 general election.

Godfrey Bloom UKIP Hero! Ein Volk, ein Reich, ein Fuehrer

Godfrey Bloom is given the Soviet treatment

"“Schulz is an unrepentant Euro nationalist and a socialist. He wants one currency, one EU state, one EU people. Already the Euro nationalists have one currency, one flag, one anthem, a foreign service and are creating a home office for Justice. They are creating here one Parliament with one executive and one EU citizenry. The EU Commission have already taken control of the economies of Ireland and Greece, no doubt others to follow. These Euro Nationalists are a danger to democracy".

Martin Schulz, the leader of the Party of European Socialists, who took great offence when Silvio Berlusconi recommended him for the role of a concentration camp kapo but who you can see on film - not for the first time – calling Euro-sceptics fascists.

So, it's OK for HIM to call Euro-sceptics fascists?

Sometimes you have to behave in an uncivilised manner when people don't listen to you!

Hannan agrees with me, see.

UKIP and the Burkha Ban

I am even more pleased now that I have decided to vote UKIP having heard yesterday that they plan to ban the burka in public places. The MSM and blogosphere are as usual deeply divided, those against the move citing the "freedom to choose" rhetoric.

Firstly, the burkha and hijab are an affront to women. We have absolutely no idea how many girls or women are being forced to wear this garment against their will. The sensible thing to do is ban it to protect those that are probably living a life of purgatory with their "menfolk".

Secondly, the security of our country is threatened when people cannot be readily identified. What's the point of all the CCTV camera's if you can't see someones face? Why is it that some people are stopped from wearing hoodies in shopping centres and yet those in the "travelling tent" are allowed in?

Thirdly, it is culturally uncomfortable for the West not to be able to read someones face. What do the hearing impaired who rely on lip reading do? Completely ignore those in the garb? Infact, I would go so far as to say that it's downright bloody ill mannered not to see someone's face if you are conversing with them.

Fourth, they have been used in crimes.

Fifth, they are being worn not for religious reasons, the people that wear them look down on the decadent West. They are a way to culturally separate themselves from us. They are a political/moral statement!

Sixth, How can those who wear these garment scream about freedom of choice when they themselves advocate their "non democratic" tenets of Sharia and would like to impose them on all of us against our will or be executed?

Lastly, the freedom of choice issue. Were the British public given the freedom to choose whether we open our doors to so many people from the third world and developing countries?

NO, we were not asked! So much for OUR "freedom of choice" and if I didn't get mine, why the fuck should you get yours?

I, for one, am happy to welcome productive people from anywhere in the world who want to integrate and help build
a healthy society for our children and grandchildren to thrive in. I do not however welcome those that come over simply to abuse our hospitality and then piss on our customs and traditions! Those people will no doubt be more comfortable in a country that caters completely for their particular level of discipline to their "faith".....

Life in the UK and in much of Europe has been completely altered to appease this particular faith/political system, sometimes at the cost of our freedoms which have taken centuries to win. The Suffragettes for example suffered terribly in order for women to be treated equally and my freedom to call someone a "Paki" has been denied me (strange how it doesn't work the other way around!).

It seems totally hypocritical for these people who have been instrumental in denying so many of us our freedom of speech and freedom to choose, to complain about something that quite honestly has no place in a civilised Western country that has respect for women and upholds the traditions and customs of that countries culture.

Question Time

Just watched Question Time. The more I hear from the UK Independence Party, the more I like them. It's a shame that they're not bigger. I used to live in Dunstable, it was a lovely market town 20 years ago but not so nice now. The Town Centre died and got filled up with Charity Shops, shame....
