Here's a Thought!

I just read in "The Telegraph online", MP's have won the fight to keep their addresses private. Of course, everyone is up in arms about it.

"Despite repeated promises by Gordon Brown of greater transparency, there are no plans to reveal MPs’ addresses when claims relating to 2008-09 are published later this year.".

Actually, I don't blame the MP's. I wouldn't want my address readily available on the web.

Here's a thought..... why don't the fees office just give each separate property registered a unique number?
That could be shown against any payments made against it.

Conservative Survival

Over the past months many people have abandoned Labour and changed their allegiences to other parties. If David Cameron wants to keep and attract more to the Conservative Party, he has to do the right thing on expenses.

Each and everyone of his people need to be investigated. Each and everyone of them needs to pay back the money they took fraudently and each and everyone of those found guilty need to apologise and explain themselves to the public.

This will be something that Labour will NOT DO. They won't do it because they still think they've done nothing wrong.

That, more than anything, will annoy the people!

If they have done nothing wrong, they have nothing to hide...

As I can hardly do justice to "the disgrace and underhand way that Harriet Harman, the leader of the house, got Jack Straw, the justice secretary, to table a parliamentary order that will exempt all MPs and peers from having to release detailed expenses under the Freedom of Information Act (David Hencke).", I won't bother.

Instead, I am putting all the expert commentary that I find on the subject matter below, as I find it. I think this order is particularly disgraceful for two reasons.

One : This is taxpayers money
Two : The constant insistence of this government to poke their noses in OUR business whilst blatantly protecting their own interests.

IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER:
