EU, the ultimate statist thieves

Dan Hannans Still Dreaming!

Bless him! He really does believe his party has the bottle to refuse the EU!

Truth is, he's been conned along with the rest of the Conservative Voters.

"What does the coalition mean for the Conservatives? It suggests that Cameron has used the LibDems to neuter his party's right wing and to cauterize the wound. Who cares about the Tories: What does it mean for Britain?

Britain is now governed by two centre-left parties, with another of the same shade regrouping and preparing for a spell in opposition. Under either Tweedledum or Tweedledee Miliband, Labour's policies are likely to be identical to the Conservative-LibDems.

Our political class - a narrow enough group - can't possibly be said to represent the British people. Both LibDems and Labour believed they had enough in common to form a "Progressive Alliance" - until the Conservatives tore up their manifesto so they, too, could be a perfect match for Nick Clegg's party.

Britain no longer has an opposition. Does anyone seriously believe that if David Cameron were to extend his invitation to others in the Labour tribe, they would find it difficult to fit in with his government?

Who, then, will hold the "Change Coalition" to account? Who represents the people?"

  2. If Dan Hannan believed in what he says he would have joined UKIP.

He's wasted in the LIBCON party.

It make's sick the way the mainstream media are backing this coalition

  3. WfW. Shame. He was the voice of reason for a while and his speeches in the EU were great.

fraser. It makes me sick too. We have no choice but to sit and watch them give away our country bit by bit. The electorate don't know half of what's going on and that's the way the government wants to keep it.

  4. Britain was just taken over last week in what amounts Left-wing coup!

If anything is going to change now, the Right wing of the party has to grab Cameron by the nuts, pile the pressure on and take control of the situation, and if that doesn't work, we will have to stop being the silent majority and start making one hell of a lot of noise. I know it's not our way, but this isn't our Country any more and we had better get used to the fact and adapt quickly or settle for being completely sidelined by another corrupt, authoritarian government.... and another.... and another.... ad nauseam.

Right on the money, Sue. Yep - now he has a reason to refuse.
