EU, the ultimate statist thieves

Betrayed!

We are no longer a sovereign state. We have lost our identity and been swallowed whole against our will into a federalist, socialist regime.

I have been betrayed by a political party I have supported since I was old enough to vote.

I will therefore, after a lifetime of voting Conservative, vote UKIP for the first time.

In the unlikely event you don't subscribe to the most excellent Raedwald... look here

  1. From your lips to my ears, Sue.

It's UKIP for me as well.

I think they should change their banner though.

    It says "The Real Opposition".

As of midnight last night it should read "The Only Opposition".

    CR.

  3. Actually Cap'n on reflection Ukip are not the only opposition - LPUK for instance? Admittedly Ukip are probably the only party of any size that have the ability to make the running on this issue - no disrespect to LPUK.

  4. WfW,

I had thought of LPUK, and even (shudder) the BNP.

How about "The Only VIABLE Opposition"?

    CR.

  5. Why not ask members to come up with a better slogan and then put it to the vote, it is one of the only really democratic parties left in the UK.

  6. Cast Iron Dave has lost my vote.
Sad because I've been a lifelong Tory and I think as you do that I've been betrayed.

  7. Probably who I'll vote for too, though it may allow Labour to remain in my marginal constituency.

  8. On account of the fact that the British government has just been rendered superfluous, why not threaten a real punishment to back-sliding Dave?

    Vote Labour.

  9. We want to at least give ourselves a fighting chance Edgar. Either way, if UKIP take plenty of votes, a hung parliament will be well on the way to destroying parliament.

We just have to convince people to vote for UKIP or failing that, any party other than the three major ones.

  10. OK, that was devil's advocate at work. But, Cameron is obviously not afraid of looking an idiot. What is needed is some threat that is just absolutelly unacceptable to the Parliamentary Conservative Party.

Only one threat ticks all boxes: 5 more years of Gordon.

  11. Sue, I feel your pain - I truly do but remember there are a lot of us and the tide will turn our way.
