Bad Feeling....

I have a bad feeling about Obama. I hope I'm wrong but I can't help thinking the USA is going to go mega socialist and end up rather like the UK.

A little too much is being made of the whole "black" and "slavery" thing. He should stay away from those issues and concentrate on "Americans" as a whole. It will alienate alot of his white supporters and enrage those of the far right.

The artwork is by a very talented Greek artist called Charis Tsevis. The portrait is a mosiac made up of Obama supporters. This is the medium image from Flickr. The larger ones are stunningly brilliant, worth a look.

Tired

I was thinking today about all the things that are making me so angry. I realised why alot of people just give up. Its hard when you have to work and think of all those "normal things" to keep fighting. Its quite exhausting. I wouldn't mind if I thought it was doing some good, if I thought my objections to NuLabour and my warnings to the Conservatives not to become too dictatorial were going to help. We seem to fighting an almost impossible battle.

I find it hard to post, basically because I'm angry about so many things, I just get tongue-tied.

All I know is, things aren't how they should be, I feel its all going wrong. Something ominous is happening and I (like alot of others), have to say my piece.

Death of a Democracy

This post is inspired by the arrest of Damian Green. It's a subject that concerns us all and has become increasingly serious since NuLabour have come to power. As each day passes, I am astounded at the pace at which the government seem to be taking over each aspect of UK life.

NuLabour can hardly be accused of being a moral, ethical party so to have this poor man arrested by anti terrorism police is absolutely an overstepping the boundaries of normal police power. Mr Green has a wife and two children, what on earth must they be thinking?

If this is an attempt by NuLabour to discredit the Tory party in any way, then I am sorry to inform them that this has backfired! All they have managed to achieve is to convince the electorate that they are indeed living in a police state and rapidly speeding down the road to a communist regime.
