Now, THAT'S A DEMOCRACY!

"Under Switzerland's unique political system, any group wanting to change the law can collect 100,000 signatures to force a referendum. Last year the country drew international condemnation after voters defied a government recommendation and approved a law to ban the construction of minarets".

I think Swiss voters would have drawn international condemnation, from governments and sheep worldwide at least, for simply daring to defy a government recommendation.

Fair play to the Swiss government though, they actual listen to and take orders from their employers. Such a rarity these days.
And they're not even in the EU...
    Coincidence ?

  2. Good for Switzerland but "...under international law refugees cannot be sent back to their country of origin if they face persecution there".

So they'll probably take them to the nearest border and shove them into whichever EU neighbour is there and then those criminals will have the run of the entire EU. Great.

  4. Interesting that the nation housing Them gives themselves that right but in supposedly democratic nations, we don't have that.
