Nut job has been sacked?

Blimey, breaking news on Sky. Chief Drug adviser sacked after claiming ecstasy and lsd were less dangerous than alcohol..

Apparently, Professor David Nutt, head of the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs, criticised the decision to reclassify cannabis to Class B from C.

He accused ministers of "devaluing and distorting evidence" and said drugs classification was being politicised.

Has he only just realised that they do that then? I thought these people were clever....

  1. They need to change the job title for the next one, to 'Government Drugs Non-Adviser'..

  2. What this guy failed to realise is that Advisers don't advise Government. Government tells Advisers what advice the Advisers must advise.

Labour Government. Truth is not policy: policy is Truth.

  3. Edgar. You forgot to add that Nutt had failed to hold a public consultation with stakeholders ... of the government's choosing.
