In a futuristic world, a strict regime has eliminated war by suppressing emotions. Books, art and music are strictly forbidden, and feeling is a crime punishable by death. Grammaton Cleric John Preston, who has been trained to enforce the strict laws of the new regime, is a top ranking government agent responsible for destroying those who resist the rules. When he misses a dose of Prozium, a mind-altering drug that hinders emotion, Preston suddenly becomes the only person capable of overthrowing it.Sounds like Labour were in charge!
They would not be able to organise that well.
ReplyDeleteI don't know, drugs in the water supply and they have a nice compliant population to control!
ReplyDeleteHow did I miss this in my bored channel surfing?
ReplyDeleteI like these sorts of films.
Dunno, its a good film though. I have seen it a few times before and think I might order a copy from ebay. Its quite prolific in terms of what is happening as regards to state control. Another good one is "Children of Men".
