I have a bad feeling about Obama. I hope I'm wrong but I can't help thinking the USA is going to go mega socialist and end up rather like the UK.
A little too much is being made of the whole "black" and "slavery" thing. He should stay away from those issues and concentrate on "Americans" as a whole. It will alienate alot of his white supporters and enrage those of the far right.

ReplyDeleteWell, he comes from Moslem East Africa [Kenya] which was where the Omani Arab slave traders had ruled and the principal reason why Britain became interested in Kenya in the first place - to abolish slavery there.
ReplyDeleteSo his ancestors were much more likely to have been merchants rather than cargo in the slave trade.
Needless to say, the mainstream media has not publicised this because having a President whose ancestral homeland had - at the very least - played such a large part in sending Africans to the Americas in the first place...might not have happened.
He'd have lost the election without 90% of the black American vote.
His childhood and youth, his churchgoing and education were amongst Left-wing radicals and later he associated with out and out communist terrorists such as the unrepentant William Ayers.
I'm afraid you are right about his politics and America's future course.
I honestly didn't know all that, I just have a bad feeling about him and how things are going to turn out.
