As this directly concerns me living abroad I wonder how they are going to tell? If I go home for two weeks in the summer next year, how are they going to know I´ve been abroad? I am not tanned as I work inside most of the time!

Hi Mrs Smallprint. Yes I know, I just wondered if I were in a street say in London, how could someone pick me out as "having been abroad". I look like every other ordinary Englishwoman.
ReplyDeleteI think the idea is they stop you in the street and say "have you ever been out of the country", you being honest say "yes", they then have the right to ask for your proof of identity - in other words they put you in a "lie or comply" situation (unless of course you really never have travelled abroad).
