Can you hear us now David? We are NOT alone, your OWN voters want out of the EU
The numbers say it all! Not only do the two thirds of Conservative voters from the 2010 General Election want out of the EU, but the majority of the GREAT BRITISH public want out as well.
In the YouGov poll commissioned by the Vote UK out of the EU campaign the GREAT BRITISH public have expressed their view in no uncertain terms, once again proving that Cameron is out of touch with the nation, as he demonstrated only this weekend on the Andrew Marr show. Enough is Enough, let’s get out of the EU and back to controlling our own futures, and making decisions that are best for OUR country!
- 62% of current Tory voters/66% of people who voted Tory in 2010 believe that, overall, UK membership of the EU has been negative
- 50% of those surveyed believe that that UK membership of the EU has been negative, whilst only 29% believe it has been positive
- 63% of current Tory voters/66% of people who voted Tory in 2010 believe Britain would have been more prosperous if it were not part of the EU
- 48% of those surveyed believe that Britain would have been more prosperous if it were not part of the EU, whilst only 22% believe we are economically stronger by being in the EU
- 78% of Tory voters oppose further UK participation in bailouts
- 65% of those surveyed oppose further UK participation in bailouts
- around 90% of Tory voters believe that key policy areas should be controlled by the UK Government
- 71%/74% of Tory voters believe that the Conservative party should commit to holding a referendum, whilst 62% of voters believe that their party should commit to holding a referendum
- 64%/68% of Tory voters would vote against remaining in the EU if there was a referendum tomorrow.
- 51% of those surveyed would vote against the UK remaining in the EU if there was a referendum tomorrow, whilst only 27% would vote in favour of staying in

A Commons Debate on the EU is not enough!
William Hague snubs Tory right over EU membership referendum demands. Foreign secretary says 'our place is in the European Union' and describes coalition government as 'wonderfully refreshing'
Calling England : A Debate On An EU Referendum
A Perfect Storm
People are seriously worried. Things are getting way out of hand now. We need to leave the EU, get rid of the huge government we have and ALL IT'S QUANGOES. Bring local, free elected, civic government back into office and let people decide where their taxes go.
WHEN WE LEAVE THE EU, WE CAN DECIDE WHAT OUR POLICIES ARE, UNTIL WE REACH THAT POINT, OUR HANDS ARE TIED COMPLETELY!

I can't begin to describe how annoyed I was by Cast Iron Dave's comments. That he doesn't want out of the EU is no surprise but to quantify that with "I now what the British people want..."
ReplyDeleteBefore assuming what the British people want, try winning an election first Dave.
Thanks for the link, Sue.
ReplyDeleteCameron's lost it now. He's made it perfectly clear that he hears us but will ignore us. He's gone from appearing to be deaf to confirming he's stupid. No second term for him.
BF. Made me livid too. The presumption of the man!
ReplyDeleteGV. He'll be lucky to last the full term I think. His ministers are turning against him one by one. I don't think it's all "propaganda bravado". I seriously think that some of them are genuinely sick of the EU now.
I hope you're right. We're so conditioned by spin and cynicism that it's hard sometimes to see the truth.
