EU, the ultimate statist thieves

Just a thought!

Baroness Ashton is a Labour Peer. She was appointed (never been elected for ANYTHING) under Gordon Browns tenure. Shouldn't she be replaced by a Conservative Peer now?

  1. Nice idea Sue, however it would
not make any difference as party allegeances have to be put to one side and whoever took over would have to work 'for the benefit of the EU'.

It would be no more than a 'rearranging the deckchairs on the Titanic' exercise, especially as the EU would appear to be 'sinking' in a mountain of debt.

  2. Ashtons such a dunce though, you'd think they'd want someone experienced in foreign affairs to do the job (or perhaps that was the intention). How do we know she is acting in the interests of the elected government?

  3. What WFW says. And that is not the way the EU works, it's more or less gravy train for life for the (self) appointed people (not necessarily for MEPs).

  4. You could replace her with a pile of gibbon shite and still get the same value for money.

    CR.

  7. She is not there to represent the elected Government Sue, as has been said, her job and loyalty is to the evil EU, mind you she can't be having much fun in the Brussels corridors of power, no popular mandate, no powerful friends back home on top of her complete lack of experience or talent. I expect that the post-room boys and catering staff walk all over her.

  9. Thank you Captain!

Gibbon shite has a use and is part of the natural order of things.

    Somewhere there's a message...

    Next !!

PS .. Send whichever mong sired "it" the bill for the round ..

  11. Ashton understands the hidden yet controlling role of Russia in the EU. As did Litvinenko. I'm not sure the Conservatives have as many traitors available as they used to do. They could send over a Cleggite perhaps.

  12. I'm sure there has to be SOMEBODY that is more qualified for the job. She has been an embarrassment to us.

  13. The EU is about to be hit with the first defaults or eurozone splits. No self-respecting conservative would want to touch the thing now anyway.

I guess we could spare them Michael Portillo, or Malcolm Rifkind. They were always keen on Euro this and that.

  14. I hope it won't be too long. I hope the Eurozone implodes.

  15. Of course! She should be replaced. She isn't competent for the job. So, why make her stay?
