  1. Use Firefox with the no script addon, keeps all sorts of ads and unwanted pop ups at bay.

  2. Firefox seems to run really slowly on my laptop (ROCK EXTREME 770 with XP)for some reason. I love Chrome, it's quick and I haven't had one popup. I guess its trading one evil for another depending on what browser you use!

  3. My Hotmail account has carried nothing pictures of dumb women smiling about raising £75 for Cancer Research fucking UK (established 1902) recently. You know, the ones who take £476m per year and spunk it up the wall paying for £250k ads during Corrie promoting ... more fundraising.

When they spend, they tell us to stop living how we wish.

    Still no cure for cancer.

Perhaps if 80% of their budget wasn't spent on advertising and wages, they'd have more chance.

  4. Stop using Grotmail. Even though I use Gmail I can't stand web mail generally and use an email client. Gmail is a pain in the arse in a browser as well, but since I never have to look at it except on the rare occasions I check mail on another's machine I don't care. For Mac users another option is to use Safari and get Click To Flash and you never have to look at flash ads or flash anything ever again unless you want to. You can tell it to always allow flash on sites you want such as You Tube, but otherwise you just see a grey box with "Flash" in the middle. Okay, ideally the plug in would be called Click To Find The Nannying Twat Responsible And Get Him To Shut Up but hidnig the thing is better than nothing. Don't know if it works on the Windows version, but there's so much about Windows that pisses me off that a bit of flash is no big deal.
