Jeremy Clarkson

I used hate Jeremy Clarkson. However, as of this morning, he is one of my favourite celebrities! At a press conference in Australia whilst comparing the two Prime Ministers, he called Brown an "One Eyed Scottish Idiot".

"It's the first time I've ever seen a world leader admit we really are in deep s***," Clarkson said of Rudd. "He looked genuinely terrifed. "Poor man - he's actually seen the books. We have this one-eyed Scottish idiot who keeps telling us everything's fine and he's saved the world and we know he's lying, but he's smooth at telling us."


Of course, there's been uproar about poor old Gordon being "partially sighted" and the fact that he is a Scot, but we all know that's just how people insult Brown in "polite" circles. I have seen him called much worse names than that amongst my fellow bloggers and indeed by myself too!

Gordon Banks, Labour MP for Ochil and South Perthshire, added: "To personally insult anyone in the manner he has done is unforgivable. For it to be directed at the Prime Minister is beyond the pale."

What Mr Banks doesn't seem to understand is the contempt that many British people hold for Brown and his Government.

Although, Australia with it's censorship of the internet has it's own "Democracy" issues, I daresay some Australians have called their Government some deserving names too!
