EU, the ultimate statist thieves

And you thought you were confused?

Who do you vote for come election day? You can go Conservative, if you just want to ensure getting the Labour Party out of power but chances are, they're not going to be much different. You could always vote UKIP but sadly they'll probably have to dissolve the party because someone has it in for them.. or you could go LibDem if you are completely at a loss. The others parties that are left are minority parties that don't really represent the mainstream voter... but what do you do if you're a Socialist?

Darling you're talking rubbish! says the Socialist Party.

"Just a couple of weeks ago, chancellor Alistair Darling, claimed he could see the green shoots of economic recovery. Then the Office for National Statistics reported that the British economy shrank again during July-September by a further 0.4% - down 6% over 18 months of uninterrupted decline, the longest downturn since quarterly records began in 1955.

Manufacturing output and construction have fallen by nearly 15%. Investment in new plant has been cut massively, weakening the economy for years to come. An estimated £100 billion worth of output has been lost, leading some economists to say that it will be 2012 before levels recover to those of last spring.

Government policies have completely failed. Nearly £1 trillion has been spent bailing out the banks, guaranteeing top bankers' phenomenal bonuses but little else. A further £175 billion has gone on 'quantitative easing', which may have boosted share prices but credit for small businesses and individuals remains tightly squeezed.

Now, the government and opposition parties are turning the screws on essential public services, wages and jobs. Already, there are 600,000 fewer people in work than at the start of the recession; one in three companies have frozen pay and one in ten have cut pay (The Independent, 24 October)

In his Alistair-through-the-looking-glass world, Darling is either in complete denial or he's lying through his teeth. The working class will have to wage a determined fightback against this attempt to make us pay for the capitalists' crisis"

BUBBLE BURST (Looks like Labour have lost them)

- Oh Dear, I'm glad I'm not a Socialist :)

  1. It is a testament to human folly and bloody-mindedness that there are still people around who describe themselves as Socialists. I would say to them: "Just let it go. You may have invested a lot of time and emotion in the ideology, you may have been to a thousand meetings and a hundred protests, but there comes a time when an honest appraisal tells you that you have been backing a losing horse. Have the courage to stop. Give up. Look for something better. You have lost."

  2. I thought they largely stopped calling themselves Socialist when they lost out to Maggie and Ron. They have adopted many new personas ( personi ? ) as they warped their way throughout the public administration thus leading to the many disasters we see today.
We know who they are but will Dave have the courage to root them out ? Don't think so.

  3. Edgar, I think you'd be surprised how many people still describe themselves as Socialist!

Banned, if you follow the link in the post, you will find the Socialist Party's website.

I can see this party breaking free of Labour and growing as time passes. In years to come, Labour will fizzle and die and be remembered as the worse modern political party the UK ever had!
