"Professor Sir Ian Kennedy, head of the new expenses watchdog, is to launch his own consultation on the discredited system of Commons allowances on the social networking site Facebook.

The move amounts to a direct challenge to Sir Christopher Kelly, whose Standards Committee drew up a series of proposals that were meant to clean up Westminster.

Sir Ian, who was warned on Sunday it would be ‘unwise’ to water down the proposed reforms, is said to feel that using the internet and other mainstream media, including radio phone-in programmes, will be more effective than the public hearing system used by Sir Christopher".

Let's keep an eye open for this new facebook site, he obviously thinks the public are quite happy with his criticism that Sir Christopher Kelly has gone too far.. let's let him know what we think, shall we?

Jacqui Ordered to Apologise

Jacqui Smith has been ordered to apologise to her colleagues today after criticism from the expenses watchdog about her contentious claims. I can't quite see why her colleagues require the apology, how about the taxpayer getting an apology and a refund..... after all, it was the taxpayers money she appropriated!

Bloody marvellous isn't it!

Can you imagine if any of us OWED THE TAXMAN money? Perhaps if I'm ever in that fortunate position one day, I might just write a letter of apology and I won't have to pay what I owe!
