Silencing the Free Press

Here is my two pennyworth! Just because Trafigura want their dirty polluting details to be kept quiet and Barclay's dodgy dealings leave much to be desired, The Guardian has been gagged from reporting something that is IT'S RIGHT TO REPORT SINCE 1688!!!!

What this government have done to our rights is inconceivable and even treason!

Since they have been gagged, the blogosphere will always ensure that any "gagging" order will indeed have the reverse effect to what is intended....

In the name of FREE SPEECH, FREE PRESS, OPEN DEMOCRACY....... The Link

The Question (so I am led to understand) :

Paul Farrelly (Newcastle-under-Lyme): To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, what assessment he has made of the effectiveness of legislation to protect (a) whistleblowers and (b) press freedom following the injunctions obtained in the High Court by (i) Barclays and Freshfields solicitors on 19 March 2009 on the publication of internal Barclays reports documenting alleged tax avoidance schemes and (ii) Trafigura and Carter-Ruck solicitors on 11 September 2009 on the publication of the Minton report on the alleged dumping of toxic waste in the Ivory Coast, commissioned by Trafigura.

Other bloggers supporting FREE SPEECH

Now this bunch of traitors, can fuck the fuck off and take your undemocratic EU with you!
