Leo McKinstry

Leo McKinstry is one of my favourite columnists. Following on from the piece that I wrote earlier about education, he has written on the subject too but, his post is much better than mine.

"Employers complain that it is becoming increasingly difficult to find suitable recruits because of poor school standards. There is now an absurd paradox at the heart of modern Britain, in that the Government spends unprecedented sums on state education, pushing for 50 per cent of young people to go to university, but then promotes mass immigration because of lack of skills in the domestic workforce".
